2013 Ornament Exchange: Sending List on first post

Post by cairee »

Well its the middle of summer but that just means its less than 6 months to Christmas, just enough time to organize an ornament exchange and stitch up an ornament. :D

Obviously the item should be an ornament. style, finishing, size and such is up to the creator but please make it something you would want to display in your own home.

You send the ornament to the person below you on the list, the person on the bottom of the list sends to the person on the top of the list. PM the person you are sending to for their mailing address.
Ornaments should be sent no later than November 15th

You read my mind! I was going to start this in the next few weeks thanks for volunteering your time :D I'd suggest making the deadline to ship though around the last week of November (maybe even mid month) depending on where you are shipping too and we would be ahead of the rush and hopefully avoid lost ornaments!last year it took almost a month for some people to get their ornament and Christmas had already passed.

Canada...will ship anywhere

What the heck, I'm in! I've been wanting to try my hand at making some ornaments, so this gives me a good reason to perfect them. I'm in the US, and would prefer to mail within the US if at all possible.

ornament as in a christmas ornament. pretty much anything small that you would hang on a christmas tree. typically not more than 6" but thats not set in stone.

there are many ways to finish an ornament, http://pinwheelponders.blogspot.ca/ has several ideas

it could be cross stitch, blackwork, hardanger, whatever you feel like. there are many ornament charts and kits available, http://www.123stitch.com/CrossStitchChr ... ments.html has a large selection, or you could be creative and design your own.

as with all things needlework, its up to you.

hope that helps
