Christmas Ornament Exchange *Sending List on Page 5*

Post by LastingAllure »

So I was wondering how many people would be interested in doing a Christmas ornament exchange? I am asking now to ensure everyone who wants to participate has the opportunity to participate, and of course get the ornaments done with plenty of time for shipping before the holiday season to ensure everyone get's their ornament with plenty of time for the season.

I was thinking maybe having a shipping date of November 1st. Doesn't have to be a package either, you can place your stitching into a zip lock bag (with cardboard if you are wanting to keep it rigid) and put it into an envelope to ship!

If you are interested put your Country region and if you're willing to ship out of country below. I will say the sign up deadline will be October 1st.

*UPDATE*
Deadline to sign up is October 1 :) I will send out reminders to those who have signed up around that time and if I don't receive a reply to that message in 3 weeks I will assume you aren't interested in participating anymore. I will post that in the message, that will just be used to remind people and try to make sure everyone does their part in the exchange. Once I get confirmation from everyone I will have a list of who you are going to ship to and I will give everyone their destination a couple days after with a shipping deadline to ensure everyone get's their ornaments before Christmas!

Ok Sending list time!!

How it works: You send to the person below you on the list. The person at the very bottom then sends to the person at the very top of the list.

That sounds a really great idea and I will give it some thought and have a look at my stash and see what is there before I make a firm commitment.

That is definitely ok Rose! Maybe if this one is popular and successful we can arrange it to be an annual thing!

I do hope you have fun at the wedding though, weddings are so much fun!

Picked up the July issue of Just Cross Stitch in my local newsagents yesterday and the cover has some wonderful Christmas ornaments on it and inside are the charts etc. Well timed for anyone still looking for ideas.

Thanks for the heads up Sally :D

So I was wondering how people will want to do this. Do you want it to be secret Santa like where everyone sends me their address and then I pass your address onto your Secret Santa who then sends you the ornament or would you rather just send your address to the person who is to send you your ornament knowing who you are getting?

Then once you receive your ornament you can post a picture of it on here so everyone can see what everyone got.

Just some ideas, what do you all think? :)

I found some Christmas ornament patterns I'd like to stitch up, so I will be joining in for the exchange after all.

I'm in the USA, and if we're only sending one or two to one person, I can ship worldwide, but if we're sending off to multiple people, I'd prefer to stick to North America.

It is just one ornament that you make and then send it to the person you're given :)

I am so excited for this!!

Oh can't wait to see eventually what you picked!

I find I stitch a lot of Christmas themed stuff, but it makes me happy and think of the fun happy times spent with family every year at that time.
