Shisha workshop for beginners

Post by Mabel Figworthy »

Saturday 16th May, 2-4pm
Dunchurch Baptist Church, Coventry Road, Dunchurch

Try your hand at this Indian style of embroidery, characterised by the use of small mirrors. First you'll learn how to attach a mirror, sequin or shell disc, then we'll use some traditional stitches to turn your shisha motif into a pretty floral design by adding a scrolled stem and leaf. We may even add a few sparkly spangles for good measure! The finished project will be made into a card.

Scissors, needles and 4" hoop will be available to use during the workshop, but do feel free to bring your own if you wish.

£10 including all materials; coffee & tea available. All proceeds to the DBC Building Fund.

(Max. 12 participants.)

No No No. I already have too much on my plate this year.

I was wondering if you were going to teach this lovely style of embroidery but really and truly, it is just too much to take on. Thanks Mabel for the offer to us all "no thanks"

Oh, that sounds like fun. I think Colorado is too far away, but I can't wait to hear all about it.

Moments like these I hate being in different countries. I'd love to try this.
