Could it have something to do with a certain bird.... :-)? I'll see if I can't get round to that one earlier, I'm rather looking forward to it myself, but I'm waiting for a particular Caron thread -- Sew & So have ordered it in for me so when it arrives I may just have to use it!

DH has been very sweet today -- he's popped a mini bottle of sparkling one in the fridge and toasted with me at noon :-), and he's taking me out to dinner tonight too

We had a lovely evening out, TB, thanks! Today he helped me again by ordering something so that I could see what actually happens when someone does  ! I tried testing it with my own paypal account, but it wouldn't allow me to buy from myself :-). I was particularly worried about the ones where the buyer has to add a note about which initial they want for personalisation, so he "bought" the Clown and asked for initial D. (don't worry about him being out of pocket, I refunded him :-))

I have just been to your website. I don't have enough time (too much on this forum I guess) to do everything I want. But I have bookmarked your site because I am sure I will be visiting it again and again until I decide what I want. It is so lovely.

and there I was thinking that my stitching might catch up with my designing :-) -- but the Planned section keeps growing! Here, especially for forum members, is a slightly larger peek at the latest additions, Luck of the Irish and Berrington:

They are lovely. What is the gold in Berrington? Is it a different stitch? Or goldwork?

No gold work, just traditional stitches using Petite Treasure Braid. The trouble with designing a new one is that I then want to stitch that one before all others, just to see what it will look like in the flesh (well, in the thread :-)) -- this one was inspired by those beautiful Georgian ceilings with their hint of gold, and I'm really looking forward to stitching it.

Re: Mabel Figworthy's Fancies -- a gallery has been added

Post by Mabel Figworthy »

I've added a Gallery to the site with finishing ideas, and some other people's stitching (so far only from some of my students, but I hope to add others over time -- if you stitched nay of my designs, whether Hardanger or cross stitch, and you're happy to have it added to the Gallery, that would be great!)

I'd love to hear what you think of it -- is it a good idea, does it look OK, any ideas for improving it, whatever you can think of!

I like your gallery. :applesauce: I like the background too. I think it's a good idea and that posting your student's work is also a good idea. Gives people a good idea of what can be learned. All in all, I find your website pretty easy to move around in. I have more exploring to do in it, but I will get there.

Hello - it's been a while since I've been on here/ visited your website - I've been up to my elbows in nappies etc.

I'm very impressed with the website - it's looking good, great products and very informative.
