Mabel Figworthy's Fancies -- Special offer for members

Post by Mabel Figworthy »

As you probably know I'm setting up a website for my Hardanger designs, and as you probably also know, it won't start selling for a bit because I haven't done all the stitching and instruction-writing yet!

Even so, the site does exist :-), and so if any of you would like to take a peek (and tell me of any improvements you can think of), you can find it here; enjoy the preview :-)

Your site is lovely, Mabel, and very well organized. I've never tried Hardanger designs, but you make them look very tempting. . . . :)

Having tried one of Mabel's designs myself (and being such a newbie to hardanger I didn't even know what satin stitch was  ) I can recommend her instructions as being easy to follow. :)

Love the site Mabel!

I love the look of the site. Well done. I'm pleased that you'll have Paypal payment. The pricing, too, is about right I reckon. Can't wait to see your Peacock model when it's sewn. That has caught my eye and I also love Spring Romance. :applesauce: :D

This is a wonderful site Mabel, and it makes me even more keen to try Hardhanger now, so I think some of my stash money will be spent on the site. :applesauce: All I have to do now is make up which ones to buy

Thank you all so much for your comments and suggestions, they were really useful and helpful! tiffstitch suggested a slightly different lay-out for the catalogue page, not unlike the changes Sew and So made to their site, showing more designs in a smaller space rather than having them all one below the other in a long list. I've been experimenting with that, and have uploaded the new lay-out -- it also has Add to Cart buttons now, but I'm afraid they don't work yet :-), nor do the pictures link to a detailed information page yet -- but I hope to be working on that over the next week.
The cross stitch and Freebie pages I've kept inthe old lay-out, as there aren't so many designs there.
I've also added a FAQ page with some useful information about Hardanger and (very important) copyright. Oh, and a "Special Offer" option of buying any three charts from a section for a special price. Do you think that's a good idea?
Anyone who would like to comment or make suggestions, I'd be very grateful! The new Hardanger catalogue page can be found here

The new layout looks great Mabel, it's a lovely site.
I don't have any suggestions for making the site better, but was wondering if you might consider offering custom made charts once the site gets going. You are so creative with your designs, but of course I realize it's quite time consuming to make custom designs.
