Pattern of map of Cornwall

Post by knegrotti »

Hello,

I'm desperately searching for a pattern of the map of Cornwall. I've found a few kits online, but unfortunately I'm living in Los Angeles and I want it to be finished by Christmas, and I don't think with shipping time it would be. So, a desperate search for a pattern has commenced, and it's not going very well so far. Heritage Crafts has a design I like and offers a pattern, but I believe (can't find anything to the contrary) that it is still sent via mail.

Anyone have any ideas?

For reference, here is the Heritage Crafts design: http://hcrafts.com/english_county_maps.html" target="_blank

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Hello and welcome to the forum from South Carolina! I'm afraid I don't have a chart of a map of Cornwall to mail to you and if you have spent any time on the forum you know that we can't email copies of charts or pdf charts that we do have, because that would violate copyright laws. Could you contact the company and see if it is possible for them to send you one of the charts via one of the quick mail services like Fed Ex. I expect it would be pretty costly, but it sounds like you need it very quickly. I looked at those charts and they are lovely I tried a search for a pdf chart that might be available, but I couldn't find any quickly. We're pretty good at finding the odd chart that someone needs (some of our forum members are real Cross Stitch Pattern Sherlock Holmeses) but I'm not sure if even they can find one as quickly as you need. I did a quick search for a downloadable Cross Stitch Chart of a map of Cornwall and found some pretty charts of Cornwall but no map.

The only other thing that I could think of is to find a map and trace it onto the fabric and then use back stitching to stitch the outline.

Wishing you the best of luck and hope that if you find one you will let us know and post pictures for us to see it.

Even if you had it in your hands, having it done by Christmas would be no small feat. A line-drawing map of Cornwall similar to the one you linked at Heritage Crafts would be so easy to find in a public domain image. With that image at hand, you can create your own chart with conversion software or have it created for you and emailed to you in PDF form. A public domain image means no copyright entanglements.
