I too have purchased one of these but I thought it was more hassle than it was worth. I am another one that opens up the skein, puts it around my wrist and then manually wind onto the bobbin

Great start and lovely pattern I am currently stitching my first ever Dimensions kit and all the different thread amounts took a bit of getting used too but they give a really good effect so definitely worth it.

Here's another progress picture. Haven't posted one for a few weeks as progress has been a bit slow with all the confetti but I am really enjoying my first HAED. I have rotated back to my Christmas Stocking for a bit now, didn't want that to become a UFO :) I am surprised how quick the stocking feel...
