Re: Reminder: Get your eyes checked!!

I have been in a similar boat. My distance prescription was so minimal and wearing them all the time I was getting headaches so I just basically stopped wearing them. It was a small prescription so I could see fine and actually it was only in one eye. But when I went for my annual exam, the doc said...

Re: Hubby has put his order in...

I love this piece. I haven't seen it before, I may have to find this to stitch for my hubby at some point.

This would be fantastic for most of the guys we know.

Good luck. Hope you find it.

Re: Mag327 Stitch Along ...

I haven't posted on here in a while... I did finish the Princess Sleeps Here piece back around the middle of summer ... completed photo below. I ended up framing it in a really glittery pink frame, but somehow I didn't get a photo of it framed. I'll have to get one the next time I'm at my niece's h...

Re: Georgia Stitchy Weekend in July!!

Saturday I am playing by ear b/c my hubby and I have to go by his Dad's at some point this weekend. I swear there isn't enough time in the day to do everything!!!!!!!!! I feel you on this one. There is never enough time in the day when you start with family commitments. Someone asked me yesterday h...

Re: I'm having trouble...help

I did exactly the same thing and ought the ones at Michaels and I put it on a piece to finish it and I hated it. I didn't even leave it on half an hour before I went back to my hoop. The fabric kept getting loose, and I'd slide the darn grips back, but i would still loosen again. Plus, it was just b...

Re: Pulling backing though

I found that dampening the waste cloth helped me to pull it out and then I used tweezers to get a good grab on it to pull it all out.

Washing project with metallic

I am sure this has been asked before, but my quick search using the search function didnt find anything. I used DMC metallics in a project. The project is finished and I wanted to wash and then iron it, but I'm worried about the metallics. Would the metallics wash ok? Has anyone tried it?? I may hav...

Re: No colour guide and I'm stuck!

Go with whatever looks right to you. It is your piece in the end, so just come up with a color that looks right to you, even if it isn't even close to the original design.

Re: Mag327 Stitch Along ...

I made some progress on my princess sleeps project last night.... I actually made a little bit more after I took the picture, and took it out of the hoop to be able to get to the pesky edges that were too close to the hoop or under it originally.... Maybe I'll be able to get it done tonight... Proje...

Re: Hinzeit Dance vs Ballet -

My other idea is to do the Dance kit, but just get other charms somewhere to replace.... maybe.

She liked the words and wanted something similar to that for her room and in theory finding other charms would be easy, but i'm not entirely sure What else I would find to use ....

Hinzeit Dance vs Ballet -

Has anyone stitched the Hinzeit kit that is the blocks with charms for DANCE? I am debating between the Dance and Ballet for my niece. The problem is, I cannot tell from any of the pictures I have found online what the charms are on the Dance one. I can see most of the ones in the Ballet. She was a...

Re: my 2012 goal - finish the WIPs.

I DID IT!!!!!!!!! I finally finished this project... It isn't a biggie, but it just seemed to drag on and on... I never wanted to pick it back up... All that is left is to iron it really well, probably spray it with a bit of water and then frame it... http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i317/Mak327/Ho...

WIP vs UFO

Do you consider these two interchangeable or at what point does a WIP become a UFO? I have projects that are sitting in my mind in WIP that I haven't touched in over a year, in theory, those should be UFO's I guess? but since I still have an intention of finishing them, I consider them a work in pro...

Today specifically, I am working on my Home is project that has been sitting in a bag for over a year and I am bound and determined to get it completed this week. Then I guess I get some freedom in selecting which I want to do next.

Recently, I have really been liking the Lizzie Kate patterns. I have a stash of so many different ones, but for some reason, when going through recently, those are catching my eye.

Back after a year

I am back after a year and I went to look at my signatures and realized that I have the exact same projects still as Works in Progress, that is pretty sad. They're not even big projects. But instead of finishing anything really, I have instead started new stuff or just plain not stitched :( The last...

Re: my 2012 goal - finish the WIPs.

I have not been very diligent about posting, but then again, I have not been very diligent about stitching either. Life has simply been getting in the way... I had to put my work-in-process goals on hold to work on an anniversary gift and a baby gift. well, the anniversary is next week and I have b...

Re: my 2012 goal - finish the WIPs.

I find the best time to do that kind of filling in is if I am watching something on tv or a dvd that requires a lot of attention. I was thinking this too since it is stitching I really don't have to think about, that it would be good for when my brain isn't focused on stitching, but it just hasn't ...

B5200 vs Blanc

These two thread colors seem so close to me. They're both white. Apparently, there is a slight difference. Does anyone know which is crisper? I started filling in my xbox controller on my project and figured I had enough pre-cut and that was 2 years ago. It didn't fill it in and now I have no clue ...
