I love your quilt so far, the colours are lovely and go together so well, i have recently taken up quilting and find colour combinations are by far the hardest thing to decide upon, well done x

I totally sympathise Richard I had staples after my second c section and am afraid to say it never healed very well at all, when i was due my 3rd i told the doctor if he didn't stitch me up i would hit him when i came round, bless him he not only did a lovely job of it he cut away some of the rough ...

I was supposed to go see him but ended up in hospital having my son early, it was almost 10 years before i managed to actually see him, he was brilliant oh we laughed till we cried, I cried again when he passed away and i don't normally for "celebs", he bought so much joy to so many people...

I would be absolutely over the moon to receive this as a gift and i think it will be cherished by your daughter in law to be, it is a gorgeous pattern and the beads give it that extra pizzazz. I wish them well on their journey together through life xx

I stitch better to a deadline, it is ridiculous but in life generally i am a terrible procrastinator i put everything off till the last minute. what works for me is i allow 100 stitches per day I work out how many stitches in a project then divide by 100 if there are not enough days plus 2 weeks for...

I assumed it was to do with the facets on the little diamonds, the ones my daughter has done are a 4 sided pyramid plus base thus 5 dimensions. Just what my head told me nothing scientific in my assumption lol.

I always machine stitch mine, it takes a couple minutes at most and have never had any fraying problems, but i don't bother at all for small things like cards etc they don't take long enough for stuff to fray.
