O Marie sampler by Reflets de Soie

This is being done on 18-count Wichelt mono canvas in French Blue using DMC. A lot of antique French samplers were worked on canvas. The look of it finally grew on me and I love it now. The stitches are of the dress. http://i719.photobucket.com/albums/ww196/partlycloudy/image_6.jpeg http://i719.phot...

Re: Does your cross stitch match your house?

Very interesting replies! I wish we could visit each other and admire our projects! I'm much happier with my house since I've given up copying some decor picture I like and started using what I own and stitch, and part of that is the freedom to stitch whatever catches my fancy rather than sticking t...

Re: Lavender Scent project (Artecy) UPDATE 5/14/16

Thank you! You know, I thought the iPad would be more confusing. :thinks: I think today I'm going to look closely at this while it's still fresh in my mind and try to figure out my pattern issue. I prefer working off a printed copy.

Re: Lavender Scent project (Artecy) UPDATE 5/7/16

One page finished plus a few stitches. Nineteen pages to go. :whoop: I've had to now switch to working off my iPad because I got totally confused on what pattern section to print out next. I can't even figure how to explain how confused I was. Actually I'm still confused, but I'm rotating to a diffe...

Re: Does your cross stitch match your house?

Lol, I have a lot of that early feline look too! Every piece of trim looks like it's been chain sawed. I'm stuck with boring beige furniture because it's the only stuff I could find in microfiber, which stands up great to all the claws, but you still get covered in fur when you sit on it. Every comf...

Does your cross stitch match your house?

Mine doesn't. I guess you could call my house eclectic with a mix of modern stuff, primitives and antiques. My cross stitch though is all over the place. I do sampler reproductions and primitives, but I'm also working on a lavender field in France and a cutesy image of two kittens getting married am...

Re: Confessions of a Cross Stitcher

I have a new confession. I'm just full blown making AND LEAVING knots on the back these days. And I'm liking it! I'm also not being too picky about some colors. I'm working on the sky section of a big project, and if all I need is a single stitch of one of the million blues I just use whatever is on...
