Awww, I missed this! Had a lovely weekend in Big Bear with family. Lost my stitchy bug for a while but still love to check in here once in a while and see everyone's fabulous work.
Thank you for the birthday wishes!

Thanks everyone for your replies!
On the doodlehead site it says 3741- cyberstitchers does say 3041.
I'm going with that one!

DMC 3741
Hi all! Does anyone have DMC 3741? I'm going to start Universal Unity, a kit I bought on eBay. The Dimensions threads are 20 years old so I've converted it all to DMC. One color on the conversion chart doesn't exist- it's supposed to be 3741. I bought 3740 but it's darker, and 3743 is much lighter. ...

Re: How To Read Fractional Stitches?
Hi, Allyn, thank you for your reply. This chart does not have a separate backstitching legend, this part in question is the edge of a raven. I've reread the instructions and suddenly it's clear to me that it should be a 3/4 stitch. http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k29/marniecat/Stitching/67E6A34D-0...

How To Read Fractional Stitches?
Hi all! Have a very basic question that I feel silly asking, but how does one read a pattern and know if it is calling for a 1/4 stitch or a 3/4 stitch? In particular, the small "x" and "m" symbols here. Thank you! http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k29/marniecat/Stitching/9843C94...

Re: Happy Birthday, marniecat
Thank you all so much! Had a sort of easy day at work, then Benihana dinner with my husband and my good friend that I haven't seen in several months. So nice! Today my husband took the day off and we are going to relax at the beach. :toast:  And no fires were set by my candles! :whoop:

Oh, Carole. I'm so sorry to hear this news. I know how special your kitties are to you- you did everything you could for her and gave her the best life any kitty could ask for.

Re: frames for small projects
This is such a kit that I started today with a 6" hoop. http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k29/marniecat/Stitching/2462316C-2B33-48AF-A519-F89B271021FC_zpsuol8kljq.jpg I know the center is obviously the easiest spot to stitch with the most room, but these kits leave you a few inches on the edges...

Re: frames for small projects
I've used a 5" hoop with those kits as well. The fabric is longer than 5" on the shorter side so it works. Good luck!

Universal Unity- Dimensions kit or chart
Hi all! I'm hoping someone could part with this kit or chart- copyright law states you'd have to send the actual chart- no photocopies. A friend in my stitching group was working on it when she unexpectedly passed away last year. This photo is hers- Debbie Bryant. Anyone have this in their stash and...
