Re: HAED Sistine Chapel. Combined SAL.

Has anyone made more progress on their HAED Sistine Chapel? I just picked mine up for the first time since April 30th, and I'm trying to see if anyone has gotten past the border and started to see the pictures developing. Theresa

Re: HAED Sistine Chapel. Combined SAL.

Jo, you're doing great with yours! I really have to get back to stitching, but right now I'm knitting a shawl plus test knitting a new sock pattern. I do intend to get more done on my SC in June, though.

Re: HAED Sistine Chapel. Combined SAL.

How's everyone doing with the Sistine Chapel? I must confess that my knitting bug has bumped off my stitching bug for a while, so my poor SC went untouched in May. You can check my blog if you'd like to see my lace knitting, and I hope to get back to the SC sometime this month. Theresa

Re: OT~Exciting news

Congratulations! I was so excited when I found I was pregnant with my first daughter, but of course sonograms were not routine back then, and we didn't know she was a girl until she was born. The next year should be wonderous for you. Theresa

Thanks for the great Math lessons, Juel! I've always loved Math and it was great to have a refresher on the great minds in that field. Theresa

Niki, here are a few close-ups I've taken along the way. Just for fun, I'd also taken a picture of the back at one point, too! Yes, Diana! Our last name is DiBlanca, and I will be adding that at the top of the sampler before it's done. I found a site with loads of Sajou alphabets charted, but I haven't yet made a final decision on which to use.

Gigi R's Belles-Lettres D

I've been stitching Gigi R's Belles-Lettres D as my 40th Anniversary Sampler. The piece is being stitched on 32 count Flax Belfast linen, 2x2 with HDF silks in Examplar Moon-called Sea. Finished design area is 28 1/8" x 22 1/4". My anniversary was actually in February, but I'd started it t...

Re: Mathematicians-Bingo - 11th set of numbers is up!

After disqualifying myself from this one, I'm watching to see who will win and be hosting the next Bingo. My picks were chosen with the random number function in Excel, so if I had just sent in the top 10 instead of 15 I would be at 8/10 with none from today. If no one wins today, I do hope Mother's...

Re: I have fallen in love with this - GOT IT!!!

Vanessa and OctoberLace - I'd love to hear from both of you once you start your Golden Kite designs how the blending of floss goes. I've never done a design with blended thread, and it sounds a little intimidating. I've recently worked out stitching 2-handed while using a trolley needle to lay my t...

Re: I have fallen in love with this - GOT IT!!!

Vanessa, I'm so glad you were gifted with this lovely chart. I plan to start my first Golden Kite piece, Sophie Anderson's The Turtle Dove, as soon as I finish Gigi R's Belles-Lettres D. I recently bought that and two other charts, Madame Rimsky-Korsakov and Miranda, taking advantage of their 30% of...

Re: Mathematicians-Bingo - 7th set of numbers is up!

Thanks, all. I actually won the Bingo on the other site in March, getting Glendon Place's Plum Pudding chart as my prize. Maybe that's why I was thinking 15 numbers. I've never won here, and thought I was so close earlier. One day I will win and be able to host one! Theresa

Re: Mathematicians-Bingo - 7th set of numbers is up!

Oh, no!!!!   I just realized that I have to disqualify myself from this competition. In a Mathematics Bingo, I can't believe that neither Juel, our Math whiz, nor I, a CPA, realized that I sent in a list of 15 numbers instead of 10. I guess I got it mixed up with the 15 needed for Bi...
