Re: eBay purchase - ABC Baby Afghan

I have done 2 afghans now (tho not C&C) and I finished both mine differently. The first I just stripped the threads down to the border, it waas about 6cm I'd say, and the other I encapsulated the frayed ends inside 5cm ribbon front and back. There's a few photo's of finished afghans in the SAL s...

Re: Fractal Bookmarks - kimkat_tkl

 My sister would absolutely fall head over heels in love with your fractls... she is obsessed. This may be the thing to get her into stitching, and she is only a stones throw away from you in Toowoomba. You are stitching so fast, especially as it's on 25ct *shudders* no wonder you caan't leav...

Re: Lights

I use a Mighty Bright clip on lamp, I protect the fabric with some muslin round the clip though. Me too, I recently upgraded my single bulb Mighty Bright I've had for 4 years now to the double bulb Mighty Bright Light, as I was getting fed up of buying AAA batteries all the time. This new one is pu...

Re: Fraying

I use a frame, or a hoop, so I never do anything to my edges, I do leave bout 5cm between stitching and the edge though so if by any chance I do get a few loose bits it doesn't make any difference. The pva glue is a good idea though!

Re: Nice to meet you!

Have spent ages looking through this thread to see new, and old, no, not old, well known faces! I'm at my mum and laws at the moment catching up on a pile of sewing so havn't got any photo's except what I pinched off my facebook. None of them are particularly recent, most recent is about a year old....
