I usually stitch 2-3 hours in the evening with the tv on. I'm retired and have some health issues, so some evenings I'm not really up to stitching. I only do one project at a time unless something special comes up. I also rotate in a crochet project now and then.

I stitch because I enjoy it and find it relaxing. I sometimes make Christmas or birthday cards to send to others. I give only to those in my immediate family that I know will like them. I enjoy the British magazines. I generally order the specialty issues directly online. I would have to drive about 10 miles to buy locally. Sometimes Joann's is out of stock when I get there.

I have a mechanical Janome and am very happy with it. I would rather not have computerized but that is just my personal preference.

I've never done this before, but wouldn't you cut the fabric slightly larger but in the same shape as your bezel? I would practice with scrap fabric.
