Re: Bead Workers???????

I use a full X instead of / and I kinda like it like that. They are more firm fixed. I also use matching colors threads. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/Siliun/010.jpg http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/Siliun/009-1.jpg http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/Siliun/008-1.jpg http://i117.p...

Re: sorry another haed question

I work my Haeds on 18 count aida, with 2 threads. I find the coverage pretty good and I have tried on 22 count linen and I didn't liked it. Too less coverage with one thread, bulky and hard to pull through with 2 threads.

Re: Backstitching on Tatty Teddy

well, I'm a lazy tatty teddie stitcher. What I do is stitch the little squares and so as they have to be, and the threads that have to be his fur, I just don't use the pattern for anymore. I just stitch a bit here and a bit there in different lengths. http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o72/Siliun/2w...

Re: Organizing your magazine charts

I don't really cut in my magazines or mark in them. I have them sorted by magazine and then by month/year. Also, when I want to stitch something out of my magazines, I just take a copy of the pattern to work on.

Re: Does anyone have any organisation tips for HAED's?

I don't grid, but do block by block.

Also, using 2 pako thread organizers to keep my threads on. I cut a few lenghts, put them on there, use them, and when there is still one left, I cut a new one. Is there a new color in it, I add the symbol to it and some threads.

Re: Stitching Speed and other questions

My backs don't look very neat, and I don't mind really, the front is what counts. I don't stitch very quick either, but I love to stitch though

I use the original card with holes, and tie them around it so they don't come loose.

Re: Beading

I'm doing beads now on my Summer Fairy from Joan Elliott, and I absolutly hate it. I used those long flexible beading needles, and believe me, with a thumb that only does half of the job it's not easy.

Are there small beading needles aswell, the size of a normal embroidery needle?

Re: Q's not found in search

I can only help you on the last question. I do have a floorstand, which I have build myself with my father and boyfriend. I found this the easiest for me. I have "tuned" it up with little hooks to hang my scissors on, made a lamp on it that can turn every direction. I like it very much, bu...

Re: Am I being unreasonable?

I'm having troubles with a shop for almost 9 months now. I placed an order from around 60 euro's, which has been deducted from my card, but never has been shipped. Sending mails, calling them, sending letters, all doesn't help. They don't answer mails, or don't even bother to pick up the phone. So I...

I use them for cards. Even if the numbers are on it, most off the time there is a difference in color.

Re: Good quality embroidery needles

I don't know how they are called, but I bought mine at a needlework shop here that quits with it. The shop was 105 years old, from mother to mother to son and I bought all their old needles. They were in a black folded paper package and are estimated to be around 70 years old. I had one off those ea...
