Re: HAED Mini The Black

 this design - reminds me of Walter Farley's the Black Stallion who I adored when I was a kid (books and the film). It looks amazing on a dark background but I certainly applaud you for doing this. I have a current project on the go which I'm stitching on 14ct black aida and I'm finding it hard...

  the design and great start. I personally prefer how the colours looked stitched than how they look on the kit picture

Great photo, especially of a bird that is seen as exotic over here and yet is rather like a Blue Tit or finch for you. :D

Re: Suggestions for fabric colour

I like the second one. But with either the first or second, I might change the yellow wording to a different color- depending on how it looks against the fabric. It may blend in, or just be the wrong tone. This did cross my mind when I started looking at oatmeal/cream farbric. :thinks: :thinks: wha...

Re: Joan Elliott's Medieval Lady

 She's beautiful! Just thought that holding that white rose she could almost be Anne Neville or a young Cecily Neville (Richard III's wife and mother).

Re: OT: For Star Trek Fans

Been a Trekkie since I was a kid and was sad when Enterprise ended and there was no more Star Trek on TV. Went to see the new film the day it was released as it was the same day as my birthday  Really enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

Do wonder if they will ever re-boot Next Gen?

Re: Help needed to replace lost threads

Maud - thanks for the Sew & Sew suggestion. I'll give them a try as the Russian company have replied to me saying they don't make the kit so can't supply me any more thread  Mabel - I would use my own stash of threads but the trouble is I don't have any kit thread samples to compare my DMCs...
