Re: 2024 Word Game
Toes (as in Heads, shoulders knees and toes - sorry not sorry - I did a 15 yr stint in childcare. I can still recite some books by heart despite having been out of Childcare for 5 years)

Re: 2024 Quick Daily Posts
If anyone finds my stitchy bug hanging around can you give him a stern talking to and send him home please? preferably without mr Froggie. (I know WHY he's gone walkabouts I just cant do anything about it - covid + flu vaccinations and upheavals in work stressing everyone out - I think its going to ...

Re: 2024 Deliveries & Stash Acquisition
I wouldnt call myself proficient yet Serinde - more passable. I'm incredibly lucky in that I can spend most of every working day spinning so I get plenty of practice! I will (eventually) get around to weaving and knitting with the wool I've already spun. I have not long washed it all to set the twis...

Finally starting a SAL for this HAED I was gifted a couple of years ago! I have the HAED version which has now been discontinued but this is what the monster will look like when I finish it (from another website) https://www.painefreecrafts.com/product/what-lies-beneath-dakota-daetwiler/ I forget th...

Re: 2024 Quick Daily Posts

I only use it to check when the main site is down but its useful to have. Just checking in case it was noone here and people get confused between the true foru...

Re: 2024 Deliveries & Stash Acquisition
Soooooo I've been very, very bad. https://i.postimg.cc/G9HNFmcg/20240204-133644.jpg These lovelies have just been added to my spinning stash. I only have plans for the bunch at the bottom at the moment I had to use the flash to bring out the darker colours, so the lighter are a bit washed out. From ...

Re: 2023 St Cross Stitchers Hospital
Sorry to hear youve been unwell Mabel - hope you are feeling better. Im just going to install myself in a bed over here by the window as I too have come down with the lurgy. Luckily not Covid - (which is a surprise as one of my co-workers tested positive 2 days before I got sick) but some kind of co...

Re: 2023 Quick Daily Posts
I am so sorry Richard - Thinking of you and the family as you try and process this. If it is of any comfort, quite often loved ones will wait to be alone before they let go. My parents got called to the hospice facility for my grand father and he slipped peacefully away when they stepped away for so...

I do so love that dragon! The backstitch is very subtle but it does make therything just pop and sharpen. Can't wait to see it in all it's glory!

Re: Arianwen's other stuff 20.09.22
Little update here! I finally finished the frame this month for my Overlook Sal! I was so glad when the two sides lined up! https://i.postimg.cc/bsSbckDy/20220920-160455.jpg As you can see I've also completed 2 of the rooms, the middle window and the front steps. Top is the Grady twins and that is w...

Re: Arianwen's other stuff 04.08.22
I have an overlook update! Apparently I cannot count over 1 on 28 ct - this does not bode well! I've made counting errors all over the place  one on each side. and one I thought I had done wrong, frogged ( ripping my fabric in the process) re did - and it turns out it was right all along :tantr...

Re: Arianwen's other stuff 25.07.22
I've decided to change things up a little so the name of the thread has changed! I'm going to post everything non haed here. I'm normally a 1 at a time stitcher, but add in some smaller stuff if I have a big project on the go, but after being enabled by Roland, I have started the same SAL - the Over...

Re: Wishful thinking! 24.07.22
Are you stress testing your stitchy bug with all that back stitch (it does look grand)?  no! its not actually much backstitch - it just gives a dramatic effect on this piece! It took me maybe an hour and a half to put the stitches in. My stitchy bug is getting a test though - I've starte...

Naughty Mr Frog! Glad you seem to have sorted it with very little trouble. The dragon looks awesome especially his toes!
