I think you've got the solution there, Jo.
I used to have a couple of hook type threaders but they were useless on anything finer than wool and a very large eye needle. The metal was just too thick.

Jo, the fabric I sent you came from Sewitall https// sewitall.com It's a firm Sally Squirrel told me about. They have a UK site and their fabric is good and varied. P&p is free over £25. I looked at Very crafty and could not find fabric. Also Willow fabrics have good supplies Hope this helps :D
