Hey, wondering if anyone is going to the Crafts for Christmas and Hobbycraft fair in Glasgow this month?

I haven't been stitching much but I'm gonna go and see if I can pick a few things up

I agree when it's finished it looks gorgeous.

There isn't that much left but I'm going to cheat on cross stitch for a while and go back to my stamps. might go back to it at weekends to get it finished.

I'm the same with the show that comes to the SECC every year. 60 to 75% I'd say is card making you see some nice stuff but cross stitch isn't easy to find.

Just finished a project that had LOTS of metallic thread. Fortunately, it was all half stitch. I never had a problem with it fraying on me, but it was a pain to get everything taut since I was using one metallic thread and one regular thread. The metallic kept wanting to pop up. Who hates metallics! :( They fray at the ends and the bend at the needle eye, they fray while stitching making my stitches look like crap, they don't sit nice and flat and when you try to pull a little tight to make it lay flat it stretches the hole... :( Does this happen to anyone else? Don't get m...
