Re: TW - Fantasy Sampler - Photo Update 15th Jan

What's that? 6 months without a picture you say? http://flic.kr/p/cc1pEs" target="_blank Trees re-stitched! Not a stitch out of place (anymore) Just the girls face and hands to go, I'm not convinced by the colour in the kit so I might change it. So that's about 10-20 cross stitches left an...

Re: A familiar name at the Knitting & Stitching Show

I saw some of his work (along with other urban? cross stitchers) at one of the 3 shows I attended over the last year (but now have no clue which one). Some of the pieces did make me laugh.

Re: Confessions of a Cross Stitcher

I don't understand why people get so crazy about their scissors Until recently I just used my penknife scissors, but I bought some expensive ones (£15) at a show. and Oh My Word, the pointy sharpness! Makes frogging much easier and each snip of a thread a joy. My confessions: 1. I can go for month...

Re: Has the Postman brought you anything fun in 2012

Needles! Gold plated, size 26 and size 28 direct from John James needles (cheaper than Sew and So and just as fast! Ordered yesterday lunchtime, arrived today). Should have enough size 26 needles now for every thread in secret project 2 (that I haven't told you guys about yet and has no SAL page yet...

Re: Cats, do you have one and is he or she a character?

I got Nefertari one year and 1 day ago from the shelter. Her favourite thing is interactive playtime with a 'feather onna stick', she's a keen mouser and destroys carpet and sofas with gay abandon. http://flic.kr/p/a6DBA1" target="_blank I wouldn't part with her for anything. I never thoug...

Re: TW - Fantasy Sampler - Photo Update 15th Jan

No picture - sorry all, but yesterday was the last day of my Easter holiday (spent doing DIY) so decided to bite the bullet and frog the trees on the LHS and then restitch. Now I stitched those trees over 10 years ago so it was a bit of a wrench. It took ages, all the thread removed is not in any co...

Re: HAED Storykeep - Oriental Courage - Photo 14th Apr 2012

At least all the red was quite easy to stitch, all I had to do was keep going. Very little thinking involved! Was about to start filling in the gaps last night but then the cat decided she needed lap time instead.

Re: Stitch and craft show - march 2012.....

A lovely day out! I also visited and I agree with Mabel that I prefer the Knitting and Stitching show at Ally Pally. I like the Olympic quilt display a lot. Many of the same stalls as you see at the other shows, the only think I ought was some expensive (but very pretty!) italian embroidery scissors...
