There might be an advantage to doing a "stocking within a stocking" liner if your seams are going to be particularly thick when you layer the stocking together. You'd have to be particularly careful with the seam around the stocking's opening so that it will be even when you tuck it in. W...

Thank you for the welcome I will look for the stockings put together by other members and see how they went about it. Mine is a Dimensions stocking and I don't like the way the instructions want it to be finished, it just makes the stocking seem cheap.
