Is that size fabric necessary? I only have a 12.5" x 18" size... :-/

Hi All, I'm new to cross stitching and have only done hand stitched small projects as well. I just purchased a pattern that the finished size would be is 17.29in x7.21 in. I am overwhelmed with the options of Qsnaps, but want to try them out. Would you please recommend what size to purchase for this...
