The first end of the runner is finished!

Better than this was a tablecloth for my late friend who tragically died last May. That tablecloth had these roses on both ends and Ellen Maurer-Stroh's Dahlia Basket in the centre. That was a real piece of work. As usual, I forgot to take a photo before giving it away.

Cant wait to have this end completed.

Now two rosebuds and a heap of leaves to stitch and one end of the runner will be completed.

I am with that cat at coffee. I get up, but I dont wake up until I have my coffee.

It was not accidentally, I bought two because I made such a mistake that it was cheaper to buy a second kit and start all over again than to unpick and "correct". Plus I would need extra threads anyway after all the unpicking.

Real riches for a designer and stitcher.

That's what I call hand made beauty! Those pink flowers(aquilegia) are my favourite where it comes to botanical likes and dislikes, but in silk and glitter they look absolutely smashing. If I were you, Mabel, I would start with making them. Fantastic!

This tablerunner is needed for the first of May. So everything is put aside and E.Maurer-Stroh roses are supposed to be stitched on both ends of the runner.

I would not recommend the method of one colour at a time. The shortest way to a mistake. I stitch one element at a time- for example, if it is a cat, one paw, chin, mouth, nose, eyes, forehead, etc.
