Re: Avatar name?

I find choosing names and pictures a bit tricky. I'm Piggy Browne because my husband started calling me Piggy almost from our first date and I have no idea why and Browne is my surname. Finding the right picture I find more challenging as I feel it's somehow more defining of my personality, or perha...

Re: David Bowie in the Labarynth update 25/ 02

Love the eye and his hair looks amazing! Look forward to seeing him when he's done. I'm sure the other ladies in the Monday sewing class would be well impressed:-)

Re: hoop or frame??

After years of using hoops and frames I recently bought an upholstered frame from Sue Hawkins at the Knitting and Stitching Show in London a couple of years ago and I love it :whoop: Based on a medieval frame, it's kind to the hands and gentle on the thumbs! You can use it for any size of stitching,...

Good morning from a sunny, but chilly England. This is my first ever foray into the world of forums, so am excited to see and hear what other stitchers are up to  I've been stitching on and off for around 40 years, my biggest and proudest project is a crewel work bell pull which took me 20 yea...

Re: Vintage Fishing pattern

Thank you ladies for the warm welcome and suggestions. I'm going to take a closer look at the two links I've been sent. This is my first foray into the world of forums and am excited to see and hear what other stitchers are up too. It'll help to brighten an otherwise cloudy day here in rainy England...

Vintage Fishing pattern

I'm looking for a vintage Fishing pattern to do for my husband's birthday and not having much luck! I can find lots of cutesy ones but nothing with a nostalgic feel with wooden reels or creel baskets etc, something that would like on linen/evenweave. Any ideas??
Many thanks.
