Re: Just some of the items i have stitched,

Loved your finishes in PB. Just had to have a look at Stained glass TARDIS. It may have to go on my list. :D Currently working on Starry night with TARDIS. (In SAL Thread)

Also tempted by space traveller which was by HaED.

Re: Question about Tatting

I have done a little (very little) bit of tatting using a shuttle and really enjoyed it, well once I learned to relax that is. The very first day my left hand resembled the withered claw when I stopped cos I was holding the hand so tightly. I haven't tried any other methods though so can't really co...

Re: 1x2 or 1x2 ?

I've not started my HaED's (yet) but they recommend doing 2 over 1 on 25ct evenweave (or sometimes 25ct linen). That's what they base their thread usage estimates on for their webpage. I'm fairly sure I'd find that too full as I'm currently working 2 over 1 in 18 Aida and in confetti rich parts it c...

Re: Starry Night with TARDIS

Thanks folks. I'm using page three to try parking for the first time. ( In prep for starting one of the HAEDs I've bought) So far not a great success....... got in a huge tangle ( note to self - leaving the needles in as per the SQ instructions is not a good idea) and I also keep forgetting that I'm...

Re: Fujian - UFO week project

Thanks guys It's funny how you feel you've not made much progress when up close to it but it really shows when you compare pictures.

I find it difficult to put it down till the beginning of the month once I'm on a roll. :D

Stunning work. and kudos to you for focussing on all the subtle background before doing more of the "main feature"

Starry Night with TARDIS finish

This is my newest start. Thanks to Skitzzzzz for the pattern and I just had to start it as soon as I could after I got the email. Possibly a record at the following day. I've just finished page 2 so though I'd take the opportunity to post a piccie. http://i1073.photobucket.com/albums/w384/sheila_bel...

Finally remembered to take a piccie after the end of UFO week. It's now on hold again till the beginning of next month while I work on my WIPS.

Re: Rowandean embroidery - I've stitched a bit more!

Love this design and you've done so much and so lovely.

I have a Rowandean in my stash somewhere. I've had it for many years and have never actually put in the first stitch but I live in hope. :D

Re: How to get started...

I do the same as Mabel for starting but I seldom use the loop method just start by stitching over the ends. I sometimes put the needle in from the front at the end of a small row of stitches and leave a small tail this makes it easier to ensure you catch the thread with your stitches and then you ca...

The dress is so effective, you can really see the fold and creases in the fabric. Can't wait to see more of it. :D

Fujian - UFO week project

I dug out another UFO to work on during UFO week this month. It's Fujian from Classic Embroidery and I tried to take a picture of the completed design but it was a truly awful photo so I'm borrowing this from a shop web page. http://www.choicesembroidery.co.uk/media/com_hikashop/upload/thumbnails/30...

Love the design and love what you've done so far.

I was tempted by this design on the website but have resisted so far. :D

Your guard cat is looking chilled in the piccie. :D
