Re: Storing Cross Stitch Projects

@curiouskitty One day, I hope to have a craft room. I wonder if people who craft only stick to one thing. I enjoy cross stitching, baking, cake decorating, crocheting, and am going back to glass bead making. Come to think of it, no wonder I cross stitch so slowly. :D

Re: Storing Cross Stitch Projects

A pillowcase sounds like a good idea, and I also like the drawer idea. I've just moved, so I may have room for something like that. Thanks for the suggestions!

Storing Cross Stitch Projects

So, I've just discovered that it's okay to rotate cross stitch projects, and I was wondering if there is any special way to store the fabric in between working on it. I figured I'd ask what you guys do to store your work-in-progress fabrics.

I'm in Florida, just trying to breathe deeply and get some stitching done (after I'm done here).

Re: Weedaisy SAL :)

So, I'm trying this forum stuff again. With grad school and teaching and everything that has been going on, I keep being too tired to participate in forums beyond lurking. So, onto cross stitch stuff. I'm working on the small version of Kincaid's Ariel kit. Here is where I'm at-I'm going slow, but e...

Re: Honeymoon Portrait Framed 1 October 2015

I never thought that one could create decent charts from photos and it makes me want to have charts made for a couple of my family photos. How would one go about doing that?

Re: Bookmark with birds

I love the bird cross stitch! So cute. You have a lot of patience to do the entire background in gray. It would drive me nuts. I'd probably do it though, I'm a glutton for punishment.

Thank you so much for your advice. It will be very helpful in my decision of which pattern to choose. I'm in awe of your knowledge. Cross stitch has a lot more depth then I ever realized!

Re: Knight - Updated 29th November

I'd put it aside as well. I've only stitched for pay once, and made the HUGE mistake of telling the person to pay me what she thought it was worth (never again). I created this gorgeous wedding cross stitch on linen (which I found difficult as it was my first time). It was so beautiful. I sent it to...
