Breathtaking work! It's amazing how the detail shows up: I especially love your picture of the work from a distance. It looks....amazing is the only work for it!

Re: Song of the Angels: 11.10.15 Update

Richard, I'm very glad you brought that to my attention, because I've been a bit concerned about the purple myself. The pictures don't quite capture the color correctly. In reality, it's actually a dimmer shade that looks like an in-between of the original and the mock-up: my camera tends to over-ex...

Re: Color of the Wolf - 5 November - Update

Deliciously terrifying! Your work is so neatly done! I have to wonder, how did you come across this image in the first place? I can imagine there's a good story behind this project.

Re: HAED World Travel Bookshelf - Update 9 November 2015

I've always been fascinated by the bookshelf HAEDs and I'm so glad to be able to see your work unfold. The detail is amazing and the colors are so vibrant. There's just so much to take in! I also can't believe how neatly done your stitches are. Does working a section ever make you want to just pack ...

Re: Dreaming of Tuscany

This is such an elegant project! It looks like something right out of the sketchbook of a well-traveled artist! I adore the effect that your half-crosses (half stitches? tent stitches? I'm not quite sure which term to use) have. What do you plan to do with this lovely piece when you finish?

Week 2 Update!

Hello! Thanks so much to everyone for their sweet words of welcome and encouragement. It's always great to hear from people all over the world. Carole, do you follow Chicago football? I've found it a little bit more rewarding to follow the Bears this season than the Cubs (although I'm glad the Cubs ...

Song of the Angels: 11.10.15 Update

Hello! I'm new here: I'm from Chicago and recently got back into cross stitching. I've been exploring this forum (there are so many beautiful works here!) and wanted to add my own work. I recently started my first ever HAED! I've only ever done small pieces before and it took awhile to start this pi...

This is absolutely amazing! I'm very new to cross-stitching: working on my first HAED and worried about how the details will turn out. Its so great to see from your pieces that cross-stitch can have such wonderful detail. I especially love your 'Bentley' piece: such a beautiful dog (you can almost h...
