Yep, you can tell from the wings at the top

I was trying to work out what the stained glass was from, and it twigged on the final picture! Now I'll look forward to your updates even more

I agree that it adds some texture - a couple of times where I've accidentally stitched in the wrong direction I left it because it actually looked better in that particular place! I think that doing it willy-nilly doesn't look as nice but it can be really effective when it's used for emphasis, e.g. ...
