Re: Fields of Lavender Update 01.04, 2020

Lovely!

Nothing wrong with loose threads, if you saw the state of mine "in progress" you wouldn't be at all worried about yours, which looks beautifully neat!

Re: Quick daily posts

And not just in villages, particularly in the current situation those living alone in bigger towns could be virtually invisible without the benefit of the community awareness that villages have.

Sorry you had that experience Richard, not pleasant.

Re: Quick daily posts

I have just cleaned the kitchen and all hard floors downstairs (the hands and knees scrubbing type of cleaning). Then read an article about all the plants that will have to be destroyed this year as garden centres are not open, what a waste and very sad for the growers. Had a nice chat with my regal...

Re: OT about sending post to vulnerable people

This sounds very sensible to me (also not an expert but used to be a vet so am not totally ignorant). A couple of comments: World Health Organisation advice is currently that the risk of spread through packages is very low. The viable viral load you would receive on a package through the post will b...

Re: Quick daily posts

He's a nice cat but...... He likes to use the flower border next to our patio as his Personal Area!! :gurn: Wendy I sympathise! Mowing the lawn requires careful prior inspection and I've had to construct a wire netting cover to protect a raised bed. The only solution is probably to get one myself...

Re: Quick daily posts

Whether to allow people out to exercise is a difficult question, I live in a village in the countryside so even now see very few if any people out on the footpaths where I run, I always go alone and I also live alone so I'd feel a bit hard-done-by if they banned it (although would comply), but I can...

Re: When the falling pound hits your stash acquisition...

Glad your parcel was delivered Mabel. I find the Royal Mail online portal quite unreliable - I've used it to pay customs fees and rearrange deliveries which have either turned up on the wrong day or not at all; so far they've always been in the local delivery office when I've been in to investigate....

Re: Quick daily posts

I like this thread. As we're still allowed out to exercise I went for an early morning run and appreciated how much the ground is drying up - didn't need to hose myself down afterwards for the first time since October! Only saw one other person out. Lots of stitching happening, trying to distract my...

I've been working on Turquoise Sea for the last couple of months: https://i.postimg.cc/7CHPw4nN/Feb-20.jpg Feels like a somewhat appropriate picture for the current weather here, hope everyone in this part of the world is safe. A very belated Happy New Year to everyone and thanks for looking as alwa...
