Oh, that sounds amazing. I wish I would have known earlier.
I'm only 15 Mon away from Ely but my week will be pretty busy.
Is it still on next Saturday?

Re: 2015 Deliveries and New Stash Aquisitions
I went a bit crazy and bought a lot of silk threads. I just love silks. Classic Colorworks - the reads are for Northern Expressions Needlework's Shades of Red and I just loved the teal one. https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7296/16331833858_b9fd83a612.jpg I bought a bunch of silks from Thread Pickerz. ...

Re: Gloriana silk hanks
Thanks for your advice, but these are just normal short skeins.
I want to order bigger hanks to have enough to stitch a big sampler with the same dye lot and most likely it should also be cheaper buying a bigger amount.

Gloriana threads in the UK
Hey,
I want to buy some Gloriana silks for a project and can't find them anywhere in the UK except at Sew and So, where they are very expensive.
Are there any other shops selling them here?

Re: Stitching over 1 on high count fabric
Yeah, I have done that with my HAED.
But I'm talking about samplers here. You have to start and stop threads neatly all the time. And when I finish a thread I have to immediately secure it.

Stitching over 1 on high count fabric
I'm trying to stitch 1 over 1 on 28ct evenweave. I have no problem starting a thread as I use an away knot and stitch over the thread. When I end a thread I would normally go underneath a few stitches on the back. But there is no space under the over one stitches at all. How do you end threads in th...

Re: Valdani cotton pearl #12
I'm just look ing for a #12 pearl over-dyed thread. Valdani has a very nice selection of these. Do you know any other companies? I bought some fromm Week Dye Works, but they only have like 22 colours. I checked out the links on the website, which must have not been updated in years. Not one of them ...

Looking for samplers with speciality stitches
I'm doing the Twisted Band Sampler by Northern Expression Needlework at the moment, and I so love learning and stitching all these speciality stitches that I'm looking for other samplers which are similar.
Any recommendations? Which samplers do you love?

I'm still on it, still loving it. I will definitely do more samplers with other stitches in the future. https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3935/15337539489_f3aa8c9eee.jpg Band number 6 is my new favourite. It's such a joy to stitch. Re: Twisted Band Sampler NEN 6/10/14
Speciality for me means just nor cross stitch. Here you can see, Smyrna Cross, Rice, Eyelet, Diagonal Herringbone, Scallop and Ray stitches. The one I'm working on at the moment is a Diamond Four-Sided Stitch over 4 threads. It's fun to figure out how to do these different stitches and they look pre...
