Yes, the pen is a much faster option for gridding. I haven't been brave enough to try it yet, since I'm scared it won't wash out if I leave it too long!

I only do the cross stitch myself, so my favorite magazines feature mostly that, but I know Cross Stitch & Needlework does often feature hardanger, punch needle, and other embroidery techniques in their issues.

I absolutely love the bottom right angel/fairy. (Does anyone know off hand where she is from?)
