Re: Going to try a new approach

NeedleAndFork----- Nice stitching. Looks like you have been at it a good while and make your x's look neat. mauveme------ I'm over it. It just made me mad trying to figure out what they deleted and added to the kit. The number of threads didn't match on some and they just added to one that was close...

Re: Going to try a new approach

Thanks everyone. I am over it. I do think that I am going to start doing the pattern draft stitching. That way I can order the right color and mark it with the right number or color name. I am enjoying it too much to think about giving it up. I'll post a picture when I get the one done I am working ...

Re: Going to try a new approach

Well I got it out of my system. Thanks for all the support. I figured I wasn't the only one with this problem but its good to know that others have and still have problems with counting. rcperryls, how do you grid your projects? Do you draw a line on the fabric and stay within that grid? That sounds...

Going to try a new approach

I bought a kit of a cat that looks like a new cat my grand daughter just got and I thought I would stitch it for her to hang on the wall. It is only a 5x7" but I am totally dissapointed in the kit. They shorted me some of the colors and I think they tried to double up on a couple of the other c...

Re: Kindle app?

This worked out great. I scanned the very small graph which was 3"x3", put it in photoshop and layered it, worked on the layer and added what I have all ready stitched with different (close to same) color of the floss that was used and enlarged it. I only went to 8 1/2x 11 but my printer w...

Re: Kindle app?

This is a very good idea. I have photoshop but have never used it for this. Its amazing what you can learn from reading someones post. I also have trouble reading the charts when my eyes go crosseyed. I'll try it tonight with something I am working on but I'll have to scan it to get it into ph...

Re: HI from North Carolina usa

Hello, Richard, from Colorado, and welcome to the forum and cross stitch, a very healthy addiction. I'm looking forward to seeing your projects. And don't worry about being able to do HAED designs. No matter how small or large, how simple or detailed, each design is just one stitch at a time. P.S. ...

Re: HI from North Carolina usa

Hi Carole, Well, I have and am still active in Ham Radio, I play the steel guitar, weave on a loom, tapestry, and now cross stitch. Since I am so new to this, I don't know a lot about it but so far it is consuming a lot of time. Of course, I have a lot of time on my hands now that I am retired. This...

HI from North Carolina usa

Hello, I am a 69 year old man that enjoys fabric art. I work in tapestry and thought I would try cross stitch. I can remember when I was very young, my mama gave me a cross stitch project to work with. I guess it was to try to keep me out of trouble but after that I never tried it again until now. I...
