Re: Xstitch Magazine
Hi Folks, Thanks to Agi for pointing this thread out to me. Here's a quick spiel about XStitch. Each issue is themed and I've got some of the best designers out there to contribute ideas in response to those themes. Issue 1 was Revolution which included a bit of politics, but also spinning things an...

Indeed!, and for all we know he's still lurking behind the bar. :P *Comes up from the cellar* I tell ya, that stocktaking takes ages! :D Hi! Glad you like the podcast! I must confess that there's so much going on these days that I don't get a chance to swing by here very often these days. But it's ...

I remember thinking this pattern would be a masterpiece when finished.
Tiny detail on black.
It will look amazing and I'm glad I got to do my part.

Cross Stitcher Magazine Issue 215
Hi Peoples!
Just a fleeting visit to say that the next issue of Cross Stitcher magazine, which I think is Issue 215, should have an article about Urban Cross Stitching, and may have an interview and pics with some wiseguy who calls himself Mr X Stitch.
You have been warned!

Re: The Stash And Grab
Well after the great news of MrX new job, I think the drinks are on him! Make mine a triple hot choc with double all my usual trimmings please! :shifty: Well, I'm only trying to celebrate in style. :shifty: I like it - I'll have one of them. And a choc brownie on the side! Of course the only ...
Re: Congrats
Hi everyone, Thanks for all the plaudits. It's all a bit bonkers really. I got talking with Emily Peacock at the show in Olympia, and one thing led to another and here we are. I'm not sure that I'll be taking over from Norman directly, as I understand that they got another columnist lined up (a lady...

Re: Stitch Fair London
Hi, It turns out there is no overlap as the Goldwork course is just one hour - they printed the wrong info on the ticket. So I'm 10am Goldwork and 11am Blackwork and 12pm hanging out with you guys. Haven't got any plans to buy anything, but I might take some photos and do a report for a local craft ...

Re: Stitch Fair London
So what's the plan?
Mabel, seeing as you and I are on the same workshop, we could meet then. I'm big and bald and will probably look a bit out of place, so maybe you can just come up and introduce yourself to me..?
And then we can meet the rest afterwards?
Whaddya think?

Hi Mabel,
Where does it say about the length of the workshops being more than one hour..?
The Twisted Thread website - he's not so helpful.

Re: Stitch Fair London
I'm doing goldwork on Friday too, so I'll see you there! By the way, are you sure Blackwork won't clash with it? Goldwork is a two-hour workshop, and I think they may overlap! (which is why I'm doing two workshops on Thursday and two on Friday) Yikes! I hadn't considered that! May have to get on th...

I had Mr Y Fronts, my twin brother, stand in for me for a bit.Serinde wrote:Hold on, hold on, hold on. you ARE the barkeep!
We both trained in the same cocktail academy, so we're equally skilled.

Recycled cross stitch experiment
Hi peeps! :D I hope you are all in fine fettle (what is a 'fettle'?) Sorry I've not been around much lately but things are very hectic at the moment, both in life, which is going great, and with my embroidery blog thingy. More about that in another post. But I wanted to show you one project I recent...

My blog is six months old!
Hi Peeps! Just wanted to alert you all to the fact that my blog - http://www.mrxstitch.com" target="_blank - is six months old and we're having some celebrations. It's funny how it started out as a blog about me and stitching, but has now evolved to a blog that concentrates on contemporary...

Hi,
I wouldn't mind those hoops if they're still up for grabs..?
And I'm only in the UK so it's nice and easy.

Hi people!
Guess who else is going to Olympia on the Friday..?
That's right, Mr X Stitch will be in town!
Oh lordy, this thing just got a lot more interesting!
And I've booked myself into the Goldwork and Blackwork workshops being run by the Royal School of Needlework! Can't wait!

Hello barkeep,
Glad to see you're keeping the place nice for me.
I'll have a hot chocolate and one of those triple choc brownies you do so well. Thanks very much!
Hope everything's alright in here. Sorry I've been absent of late - life's kinda busy these days. But hey, I'm here now!
