Re: Review sites you've ordered from
Hi Rosheen, I'm sorry you've had such a bad experience. It surprises me, because Shelley who runs it is (was?) a member here, and the few times I've dealt with her (over some kits of mine which she displayed at the Knitting & Stitching Show) she was very helpful. I just remembered her name here...

Re: Review sites you've ordered from
The first and certainly the last time that I ordered from SewingCafe. I ordered and paid for a kit on Octobre 1. Heard nothing until Octobre 20, a message saying my order has been dispatched. Ten days later still no delivery and usually from UK to Belgium takes three days. Their website is (still) d...

I'm very sorry for your loss. Although your decision was the only right thing to do, it hurts so much.

Re: Avatar name?
What a great topic! It's such fun reading the stories behind names and avatars. Rosheen was the name of the Border Collie I adopted when I worked as a veterinary assistant years ago. She was already 11 when she joined us and we had to let her go when she was 14. Of course I dearly loved a...

Re: Cyclilng fans?
Belgium is stuffed with cycling fans and my husband is one of them. Every afternoon he is parked in front of the TV for a few hours because nowadays it seems like there is always some tour going on. And I don't like it at all.
Luckily I have my stitching.

I have always been crazy about German Shepherds, so my first project ever was a head study of a German Shepherd.

Re: Needle Needs Shop
do give them a second chance Actually, it was their second chance. I ordered a Millennium Frame about a year earlier (a gift for a friend's birthday, 3 months later), and apart from delivery being one week faster, it was the same story: no answering e-mails and finally I called them. Nice lady on t...

Re: Needle Needs Shop
I join the list of people who are not satisfied with the services that Needle Needs provides. I ordered and paid for an extra set of Millennium Frame side stretchers and bars on January 22., they were 'available for order'. Almost 3 months later I sent them an e-mail, because the status of my order ...

Re: do you prefer cute or real subjects?
I definitely prefer the real subjects (animals). That probably has to do with my volunteer work (wildlife rescue) and the fact that animals have always taken a special place in my heart and live.
But I can still admire a cute one.

Re: Hello, from Belgium
Actually she is not really a pet owl. She was found weakened and brought to a wildlife rescue center (where I work as a volunteer). Her previous owner never seemed to be searching for her and after a few months we agreed that I would adopt her to save her a life of moving from one cage to another, b...

This is Spooky. Spooky, because sometimes she spooks me, flying over my head without a sound.
She's not happy here: I had to clean her 'room' and she hates daylight.
