Re: Nicola's Needlework 2022
Jo - I understand your resolution as it does get out of hand doesn't it? I've vowed to go the opposite way and just not bother with any resolutions as I can never stick to them  Carole - It was always aida only for the Wrendale kits but now they have made them available in evenweave too so can ...

Re: Nicola's Needlework 2022
Hello all I hope you're all having a lovely festive break! Sorry for my absence, I have been floating about in the background, but haven't done much stitching myself until recently. I was getting frustrated with the apples and the amount of different stitches there were (still a relative novice comp...

I usually get House Sparrows, Goldfinches, Chaffinches, Greenfinches and Starlings as well as Robins, Blue Tits,...

Re: Jo's stitching 2022
Lovely update Jo! The colours are beautiful. :applesauce: We have a wild bird mix in our feeder as well as fat balls and suet pellets. The Magpie has become a regular visitor, I know some people don't like them but I do, they have only colonised our part of Scotland relatively recently and I enjoy w...

Re: Jo's stitching 2022
Interesting experiment Jo. I only use John James size 26 needles whether it's 14 or 16 count fabric. I'm not a fan of gold plated needles, nearly every one I've tried squeaked through the holes. I have one beading needle which is the perfect size which I got in a cheap packet of sewing needles for s...

Well done Jo this is an outstanding finish and, as Wendy says, not something I'd do myself but I am in awe of your patience and tenacity with this and all the different aspects of it. A truly stunning piece!
