Re: Fabrics
Thanks, Debby. I mostly use Aida, but want to expand to different types of fabrics and be comfortable with them. I have some others just haven't stitched on them yet.

Lambswool linen fabric
Has anyone worked with 28 Count Wichelt Lambswool Linen? I'm curious as to what it's like. Soft or stiff, easy to stitch on, anything you could add? At some point in time I'd like to do Celtic Christmas, so will maybe get what I need ahead of time to have it for that "whenever" day.

Re: Which way do you stitch?
I start at the top right of my fabric. Work / from bottom left to top right. Coming back with \ top left to bottom right. I know my backwards stitching came from working on plastic canvas because that's how I worked that. I'm right-handed and according to directions I've seen I'm also backward when ...

The Berroco Handeze Therapeutic Craft Glove arrived today in the mail. Used this afternoon and have to say that so far I like it. I know I need to give it time to see if it will continue to work for me. Very light weight and comfortable.

Re: Digital Just Cross Stitch
Don't have to pay now. The first issue is free and will take between 4 to 6 weeks to arrive, and you have the option to send payment then or not order at all. The first issue was also an immediate PDF download. The way I read it was if you go through with the payment you'll get the paper and a PDF d...

Re: Digital Just Cross Stitch
I kept seeing this here and there, so after mauveme posted this I went and subscribed. This will be my first cross stitch magazine subscription. I used to get plastic canvas magazines but rarely work with that now. Guess it's time to search out the best ones for cross stitch.

Re: Has the Postman brought you anything fun in 2014
I have the Woodland Enchantress my husband bought me quite a few years back and I've been wanting the Fall Fairy for about 2 1/2 years, so decided to get it. Also grabbed 3 gel thimbles and hope they work out. They arrived today. Hope to see the Berroco Handeze Therapeutic Craft Glove delivered some...

I heard that too but I don't have a dish washer. That's why I thought of the elastics. May take them with me when I visit my friend ne xt month and give it a try. I've read that you boil some water, turn it off and then put them in and let them set. Can't remember how long you're suppose to leave t...

Loved looking through this and watching him grow. I miss my 3 furbabies, but now it's just me and my dog, who is usually on the couch with me when I'm stitching or just anytime. You have a very handsome guy there!

Re: Needle poke under fingernail
Owie! Even if it didn't break the skin you might want to put some peroxide on it to clean it out. If you have drawing salve that works wonders on just about everything. Also, putting a band-aid on would also be a good idea, just to protect the area. Hope it's back to normal soon!
