Re: Any opinions on lap stands/frames?

I really don't see how a lap stand would be very stable at all, wiggling and wobbling around in your lap if you applied any pressure at all while stitching. I'd think a floor stand would be 100% better. I've seen these and they are nice for those in the USA. http://www.artisandesign.com/" targe...

Re: DMC New threads coming out!!!

Can anyone tell me why this floss sells for 10 times more then the other floss???
Wal-Mart sells floss for 30 cents a skein. Why does this new floss sell for $3 a skein??? :tantrum:
Is there gold in it or something?

Or am I just missing the whole point?

I haven't been around lately

Sorry, I've been off doing other worldly things in life but I have been cross stitching my ship although, not enough for an update on these forums, yet. The free X-stitching application (KG-Chart-LE for Cross Stitch) I've been using to make charts with is no longer free. It's now a free to try for 3...

I know you said you've watched many YouTube videos. This one was the best for me.
Notice, and as Rose said, she keeps the thread taught all the time.

Re: Hummingbird by Mill Hill *Update 8-9-13

My mom was a hummingbird nut. She lived in a mobile home where the kitchen was at one end. It was surrounded by windows and I had to hang 3 hummingbird feeders. When visiting, it was a mad house around those kitchen windows. There were dozens and dozens of fighting hummingbirds trying to control the...

Re: Ship at Sea by Mr. Rick

Here's an update. It's the top quarter or so done now. I removed the project from the scroll frame so as to hand stitch it. It's much easier for me to do it this way. Those frames and hoops just get in my way on these smaller projects. http://allricksstuff.com/ForumPix/cssas8.jpg http://allricksstuf...

Re: Absolutely free from me

Sorry, guys. About 6 or 7 hours ago I received this message from my web host. I don't know if you noticed yet or not but the server is down. AT&T was doing some construction outside if the Data Center and cut the fiber optic cable that serves it. ETA on repair is unknown at this time. It's now 1...

As mentioned elsewhere, I have a few other hobbies I play around with to help me get through this retirement faze of life and I do jump around between them.

Here's something I've been working on for awhile and I call it, Unknown World.
