Re: Spring Bookmark or Card Exchange

I would like to be included in this exchange and prepared to post anywhere. Living in New Zealqnd a June delivery date would be early winter but a great time to think of the coming Spring.
MMy preference would be to recieve a book mark and that will be what I'll be making.

Re: Yikes! I got it dirty.

I would check by washing the red pencil off some other fabric first to make sure it doesn't run. If it is all OK then do a gentle hand wash with a soap suitable for gentle wool or hand wash and keep as flat as possible while washing and definitely while drying.

Re: NZ quake/tsunami

This quake which lasted 90 seconds was a shocking way to be woken just minutes into my birthday. No damage for me though a neighbour lost a chimney but all the contents of the cabinets in my lounge had quietly moved to rest on the doors ! A surprise to me whne I went to serve myself a medicinal Bran...

For large blocks of single colour it sometimes helps to break it up by stitching a grid and filling the gridded blocks - helps you to see your progress too

Re: Hello from the sun-kissed state

My late husband was a pig farmer and coming from a farming background myself I've been an emergency foster mum to many young animals but it is the pigs that always got me going. Later in life he bred cats and by the time he passed he was down to just 2 cats. One died then I had to have his stud cat ...

Re: Where do you purchase your fabric ONLINE?

It was being a child with Asthma and the daughter of an Asthmatic mother that saw her teach me to embroider at a very young age. This is a skill that has sustained me through a life with Asthma and involved polio as an 8yr old, breaking my neck in a mountain fall at 18, caring for a mental illness i...
